Andrea loves coaching people. But not just any people. Mostly the crazy energized, uber creative, beyond dedicated types. You know, the ones who want to change the game... and the world. The ones brave enough to ask themselves the toughest of tough questions, even when neither of us have the answer (yet). Andrea challenges those willing to challenge the status quo. Helps the ones committed to helping others in equal measure. And she always celebrates the wins with bear hug enthusiasm (even when it’s from 3500 miles away.)

After growing up in Canada, Andrea graduated from Chicago Booth, spent almost five years with Bain & Company before making the transition to coaching. Legend has it that her full-time coaching career started during her other career in consulting. Friday nights around Andrea’s desk got pretty popular with advice-seekers. Were they coming for the coaching... or the beer fridge? She declines to comment.

Amit Kapur is the CFO and "Chief Storyteller" at The Sparrey Consulting Group, where he leverages over a decade of experience coaching aspiring business leaders through MBA admissions and career transitions. A veteran of Wall Street and large-cap technology firms, Amit joined SCG full-time in 2018 and has since expanded the firm’s coaching programs, alumni engagement, and product offerings. He also serves on the Board for the Association of International Graduate Admissions Consultants (AIGAC), where he advocates for transparency and innovation in graduate admissions. Known for his analytical mindset and engaging coaching style, Amit is passionate about helping clients unlock their full potential.

Kristine helps turn big ideas into clear plans, organized systems, and meaningful forward motion. She brings a deep belief that the best work happens when people feel supported, trusted, and understood. Before joining SCG, Kristine spent 20 years building and leading her own company in the real estate and construction world, and later served as Chief of Staff at Boeing, helping leaders bring structure, alignment, and momentum to complex work across large teams. Outside of work, Kristine is a classic Pacific Northwesterner: happiest outdoors, especially on, in, or around the water. She serves as Treasurer on the board of Washington Autism Alliance, loves to cook, and is a longtime yoga and meditation practitioner.

Jenny brings a wealth of experience of working in consulting, strategy and financial services industry, covering analytics, relationships and transactions. She is focused on building relationships and products, such as ProValues, PeerView, etc. She is involved in a number of volunteer organizations, such as Girl Scouts, Austin Design Commission, Russian School of Austin, etc. In her free time, Jenny likes to travel with her husband, teen daughters, and her dog (when it’s a car trip only).

Shelby earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She began her career as a strategist, with experience spanning management consulting at Bain & Company, product marketing at HubSpot, and operations at the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).
While at GMAC, Shelby developed a deep appreciation for the MBA admissions process—insight she now brings to her work with clients at The Sparrey Consulting Group. She loves helping applicants navigate their journeys with clarity and confidence.
Outside of coaching, Shelby enjoys life with her husband and four young children and can often be found tending to her garden or managing the joyful chaos of her busy household.

Leah graduated from UVA and later pursued her MBA at HBS. She has spent several years in consulting at Bain, exploring PE multiple times. An accomplished coach, Leah has helped candidates to succeed as MBA applicants and through the Management Consulting recruiting process.

Neha is a seasoned professional with a diverse set of experiences across the Education, Banking & Financial Services, and eCommerce industries. She brings a wealth of experience in client management, customer service and business operations with experience in servicing retail and corporate customers. She cares deeply for her customers, partners, and stakeholders and values investing time in building relationships. Her passions outside of work include training as a classical Kathak (an Indian dance form) dancer, being a mother to two young energetic kids, and cooking.

The Sparrey Consulting Group was founded in 2008 after early research showed that bright young professionals were spending an average of 90 hours completing applications to top-tier MBA programs. Company founder Andrea Sparrey saw an opportunity to save people time, make the process more rewarding, and most importantly, better help people achieve their goals.
